Lane & Alley Preferences
Lane and alley preferences determine the order in which lanes and alleys are assigned to an ordered list of entries (usually ranked by seed time). Lane/Alley Preferences can be configured during the initial AthleticRUNMEET setup, or any time by clicking the settings (gearwheel) icon in the nav bar.

Configuring Lane & Alley Preferences

To configure lane or alley preferences, select the number of lanes/alleys you like to set preferences for by using the "Set preferences for" dropdown or clicking a row in the table. Then, drag each lane/alley block into the order you would like the lanes/alleys to be assigned.
Events starting in lanes or alleys will be seeded using lane/alley preferences you've configured here.
Lane Preference Configurations
When you open the "Lane Preferences" section, you'll see a "Default" lane preference configuration. If different events or rounds require different lane preferences, you may create additional configurations.

Adding Configurations
To create an additional configuration, click "Add Configuration", then enter a name for the configuration. You may also enter "min" or "max" distances if you want the configuration to apply only to races within a certain distance range. You may also deselect rounds if you only want a configuration apply to certain rounds of events. To save the configuration, click "Add".

Editing Configurations
To edit a configuration, click the name of the configuration you wish to edit.

How Configurations are Applied to Events
When a laned event is seeded, the configurations are evaluated in priority order. The first configuration matching an event’s distance and round is applied. If no higher-priority configurations match an event's distance and round, the default configuration will be used.
You may edit a configuration's "priority" by dragging and dropping it to a different position on the list (top of the list = highest priority)

Viewing and Editing an Event's Lane Preference Configuration
If you open the settings of a laned event (start type = lanes), you will see a "Lane Preference Configuration" setting. The selected configuration will be used when seeding the event. If you wish to use a different configuration, simply select the config you'd like to use in the dropdown menu.
