What is AthleticLOCAL?
AthleticLOCAL is AthleticNET's second-generation middleware software. Prior to November 2025, AthleticNET had 2 separate middleware offerings:
- AthleticLIVE Local for AthleticLIVE
- RunMeet Local for RunMeet.
AthleticLOCAL combines the features of both into a single app. As of October 31, 2025, AthleticLIVE Local and RunMeet Local will no longer receive updates. We highly recommend downloading AthleticLOCAL before the start of your season and start using it right away!
AthleticLOCAL contains almost all the features from the two prior apps. Simply select your meet, configure any available options, and begin.
Deprecations
There are a few rarely used features that either not be available in AthleticLOCAL or have been moved to other apps.
- Field App and Track Online Scoreboards will be moved to ASB as Data Output scoreboards
- Field App Local Sync will no longer exist. Use Online Sync going forward. If you need to send data to scoreboards, check out ASB Data Outputs.
- Local XC Summary outputs are no longer available. Use ASB XC Summary boards with online data.
